Howdy howdy howdy!!

Now the season turns to Winter and the afterglow of the warmer days fades as the geese wing to warmer climes and the
tooth marks from the jagged canines inside Jack Frost’s smirking mouth begin to appear once more on unprotected flesh
like the knife wounds of age on an old man’s craggy countenance, er, where was I? (mix metaphors-stir vigorously-throw
the whole thing out and start again!)

Howdy,
Sorry about that. It won’t happen again.  At least not in this paragraph.  Anyway, things in this camp have been quite busy
over the last few months.  I have just returned from the Independent Music Conference which was a real blast! I met lots of
highly motivated and talented musicians and industry people who are the backbone of the Indie music movement.  I highly
recommend this conference to anyone who is in the Indie scene.

I have completed some major upgrades to my studio and am ready to crank up production again on my next album,
Southpaw.  I am shooting for early summer for release on Sovereignty Records.  Musically, it’s a bit of a departure from
my last work.  I am writing tunes with some of the most gifted and talented people I know (why they are working with me is a
question I still have yet to answer) and I have corralled some old musical scoundrel friends of mine to lay down some
tracks.  Keep checking in for more details.

I am putting the finishing touches on a guitar method book that I have been writing since I started teaching nearly 20 years
ago.  The title is “How To Play Guitar Without Wanting To Smash It With A Rock”. Yes, that really is the title and no, I’m not
brain damaged-at least no more than I ever have been.  I will be putting it up for sale as a PDF download at the Sovereignty
Music Services site before publication.  More on that to follow.

I have been teaching a course on recording at a local college this fall and I will be doing the same for the spring semester.
Anyone interested can email me about the details.  It’s been a hoot!

So, thanks to all of you who have made this such a fulfilling and gratifying year!  I could not do what I do without your
support and encouragement and for that I am truly grateful!

And as the sun sinks down below the horizon like the falling dreams of a man who gazes to the soon to be star-filled sky as
if it were the sleeping expression of the love he once knew when he was as young as the limber and graceful branches of a
willow tree newly awakened from the slumber of …. See, I told ya I wouldn’t ramble in that second paragraph!!!!

Oh, and I would like to send my heartfelt congratulations to my beloved NY Yankees for winning the World Series!!  They
do make me happy!

All the best,
Tommy
